A Very Good Friday
I woke up very early feeling excited not only because of “Daan ng Krus” but also because I’m going to see you again. I tried to enjoy myself while waiting for King to pick me up. I feel the time is ticking at a snail's pace.
I couldn’t help myself from smiling when I saw you from a distance. Well that’s what you always do, make me smile. I love looking at you the way you move, the way you pause, the way you sing or even the way you laugh. I didn’t realize that I was staring at you if King did not nudge me. Then you looked at me and said “Hello”. Every time you look at me with those beautiful eyes and that was it, I know I was a prey.
We walked on the dusty roads under the heat of the sun with empty stomach and a severe headache on my part. But I didn’t mind as long we are together. You told me stories about the adventures you had and I listened eagerly, asked questions once in a while.
I didn’t realize that we’ve been walking and talking for almost six hours. We sat on the pavement outside the church to rest. I leaned my head on your shoulder you smelled my hair that gives me shivers through my spine then you rest your head on mine. I felt the world stopped. If only I could stop the time, I would.
